Mechanical Division
The Mechanical Division is responsible for approximately 100 licensed vehicles and over 100 pieces of equipment. The Division's main objective is to provide a preventive maintenance program.
The Division performs regular maintenance on all vehicles and equipment including trucks, autos, and Fire Department apparatus. Small to major fabrications and construction are also completed, as well as tire maintenance and repair. Mechanical repairs are also made to vehicles and equipment. The department works on both gas and diesel power engines, servicing and repairing all stationary AC-DC generators, motorcycles, and parking meter scooters.
The Mechanical Division is renders services to:
- Cemetery
- Community Development
- Fire
- Golf Course
- Police
- Public Works
- Recreation Department
The Mechanical facility is approximately 4,000 square feet. It includes a fabrication room (including welding and related fabrication equipment), and two combination truck/auto lift hoists.
The Division meets all State, County, and local environmental laws.
